Vinyl & Cassette Pre-Master
Masters prepared for physical formats — so the lacquer cuts cleanly and the tape does not eat your top end.
Physical formats have hard limits that digital does not. Send a loud digital master to a cutting engineer and it will either be rejected or quietly altered to make it cuttable.
Vinyl pre-mastering
We manage sibilance, keep low frequencies mono and controlled, watch stereo width in the bass, and plan side lengths against level — because a long side cut loud simply cannot hold its volume.
Cassette pre-mastering
Tape has its own compression, high-frequency limitations and noise floor. We master with those characteristics in mind so the result sounds intentional rather than degraded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I send my streaming master to a vinyl plant?
You can, but it will usually be altered or rejected. A dedicated pre-master gives you control over how those compromises are made.
Why must vinyl bass be mono?
Out-of-phase low frequencies cause vertical stylus movement that can make a groove uncuttable or unplayable.
How long can a vinyl side be?
Longer sides must be cut quieter. We plan sequencing and side lengths against your target level before mastering.
Do you handle cassette masters too?
Yes. Cassette masters are prepared for tape's compression, high-frequency response and noise characteristics.
